The foundation Develop Your World organizes several activities concerning development aid throughout the year. In the past years, the main focus was on organizing a congress in order to achieve our goal, however since this year we decided to have an even broader view than that.

Tuesday evening March the 15th it was finally time! Develop Your World organized her first activity, besides the yearly congress, a lecture in which the development aid policy of the current government will be critically reviewed by mr ir. Wiet Janssen.
Wiet Janssen is an expert in the field of development aid. Since the eighties, he is committed to several developtment projects, whereby he was surprised about the little effect those projects have. After several years of research, he was promoted at the TU Twente for his research on the effectiveness of development aid. The lecture took place in the Academie building of the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
